I interviewed Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional for Westword, fulfilling a fantasy of my fifteen-year-old self. After nine years, Dashboard released a new album, and I was curious about Carrabba's perspective on emo's effects on a generation...but according to Carrabba, the scene remains as it always has.
In rejection news, I received a very kind & encouraging let-down from an agent who had requested to read my manuscript-in-progress. Said she can't wait to see my book on shelves though.
