We went to Paris!
I finished the query and sent it to a few agents who had asked to see it, and the next day, we flew to Paris. Spent our days wandering the neighborhoods, grazing on pastries & cheese & espresso, eating & drinking with my dearest chef Lizzie Peyton, and drinking with poet Noah Warren and other artists living in Cité Internationale des Arts. We bought poetry on the street and a vintage copy of Albert Camus's Exile & the Kingdom from Shakespeare & Co. What is there to say? It was fucking magic, it was Paris.
